Man Utd news: BBC Sport pundit makes incredible Marcus Rashford claim
MANCHESTER UNITED star Marcus Rashford is as good technically as anyone participating at the World Cup.
Man Utd's Marcus Rashford scores hat-trick in England training
That is the opinion of BBC Sport pundit and former Premier League star Kevin Kilbane.
Rashford impressed for England when he came off the bench in their opening 2-1 win over Tunisia on Monday.
Raheem Sterling was preferred to the Manchester United forward in Gareth Southgate’s starting line-up.
But Kilbane believes Rashford must be a starter for England going forward in the tournament.
I think technically he’s as good as anyone within the side, within the tournament even
He says he would leave out Sterling for the 20-year-old, or consider playing them both alongside Harry Kane up top.
“Personally I think England should always find a way to get Rashford into the side,” Kilbane said.
“I think technically he’s as good as anyone within the side, within the tournament even.
“I would probably try and get away with maybe getting three attackers in with him, instead of maybe Jesse Lingard.
“I’d play him ahead of Raheem Sterling as well, I would, I know Sterling’s off the back of a good season.
“But personally I think Marcus Rashford is better than the two of them, I do."
Rashford has scored three goals for England in 20 appearances.
