Arsenal transfer news: Announcement demanded after Emery tweets message to fans
ARSENAL boss Unai Emery tweeted a message to the Arsenal fans after their Premier League fixture were announced - and was bombarded with demands over transfers.
Unai Emery: I want Arsenal to be intensive and demanding
The announcement of the Premier League fixtures today has presented Emery with a difficult beginning to his career at the Emirates with games against Man City at the Emirates and then a trip to Chelsea.
And despite the daunting task ahead, Emery appears happy nonetheless.
Emery wrote on Twitter: “Thank you so much. A really exciting start for us @Arsenal!”
But some Arsenal fans took the opportunity to call on their manager to sign Manchester United star Anthony Martial.
Martial’s agent revealed the attacker wanted to leave the club after growing frustrated with his lack of playing time.
Philippe Lamboley told French radio station RMC: "After thinking about all the possibilities and settings, Anthony wants to leave Manchester United.
"Anthony is sad about his situation at Manchester. He loves the club and the fans, he showed it for three years.
"Without the great support from the fans, he would have already asked to leave the club."
It's been reported that United have no intention of letting Martial leave but one Arsenal fan tweeted at Emery: “Get Martial and Torreira.”
Another wrote: “Please Sign Martial @UnaiEmery_.”
While one supporter said simply: “Hello boss! Sign martial.”
