Liverpool target Alisson ‘agrees’ Real Madrid deal with one thing to sort out - huge claim
ALISSON BECKER looks set to disappoint Liverpool by signing for Real Madrid, according to stunning reports in Spain.
Liverpool have to get goalkeeper Alisson, says Steve Nicol
Liverpool have been monitoring Roma goalkeeper Alisson very closely as they seek a world-class replacement for Loris Karius, who was scrutinised after his two howlers in his side’s 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid last month.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Jurgen Klopp has abandoned his pursuit of Alisson, with the Serie A outfit demanding more than £70million.
Therefore, Klopp will reassess his options and look elsewhere.
And now according to Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo, Alisson has agreed a deal to join Los Blancos.
I believe that it will all be resolved before the start of the World Cup, or at least that is what I hope
However, Roma and Real remain far apart in their valuations, with the La Liga giants offering £48m plus an extra £4.4m in bonus - £20m short of the asking price.
It is said that a deal will go through once both parties settle on a fee.
Allison, who is on World Cup duty with Brazil, had hinted earlier this week he wanted his future sorted before the tournament began.
He said: “I believe that it will all be resolved before the start of the World Cup, or at least that is what I hope.
“To be honest, I've left it all in the hands of my agents.
“If it doesn't get resolved before our first game [of the World Cup], then we'll talk about it after because during it, my mind is only going to be 100 percent focused on Brazil."
