Liverpool transfer news: Ovie Ejaria reveals Reds ambitions after sealing Rangers loan
LIVERPOOL youngster Ovie Ejaria revealed his long-term ambitions at Anfield after signing a new long-term deal with the club and joining Rangers on loan for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
The 20-year-old midfielder will work under former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, who takes his first senior managerial role with the Scottish Premiership giants.
Ejaria has signed on a season-long loan having spent the second-half of last season at Sunderland as the Black Cats suffered relegation to League One, playing 11 times for the North East club.
The England under-21 international has established himself as one of the Reds’ brightest young talents since signing from Arsenal in 2014.
While first-team opportunities were limited last season, hence his loan spell with Sunderland, Ejaria has made eight appearances for the senior squad - all coming under current boss Jurgen Klopp.
And in addition to sealing his Rangers loan, Ejaria put pen-to-paper on a new deal which commits him to the Merseyside club for the foreseeable future.
I really want to be a regular at Liverpool Football Club, a massive club. That's my aim.
Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, Ejaria insists he only sees himself at Anfield in the future.
“It's a really great feeling,” he said of signing fresh terms.
“I’ve been at Liverpool for four years now and I'm just really happy to extend my stay here.
“It's a massive club, the club's doing really well at the moment, so it wasn't a hard decision at all.
“I’m just going to keep working hard and see where that takes me.
