Arsenal have appointed Unai Emery as their new manager
Arsenal today confirmed Emery has been appointed as their new manager.
The Spaniard joins from Paris Saint-Germain after winning the French domestic treble this season.
Emery, 46, spoke to the media for the first time today after his appointment was confirmed this morning.
“It's a big challenge for me but I work also on other big projects,” he said.
“For me I am proud to be here and to work after Arsene Wenger.”
Discussing his plans for the near future, he said: “The first meeting, for me was very important. The connection at this moment.
“We spoke in this moment about who they want, and how I want to work.
“(I am aware of) this responsibility at this club, together, to know my ambition and my passion.
“To know how I want to develop my project at Arsenal.
“The project is a big responsibility but I think this feeling is very important.”
