Barcelona news: Jordi Alba reveals Antoine Griezmann transfer worries
ANTOINE GRIEZMANN will have apprehensions about leaving Atletico Madrid for Barcelona, reckons Jordi Alba.
Barcelona want to sign Antoine Griezmann this summer
Barcelona want to sign Griezmann and are waiting for his release clause to drop to £87.5m on July 1 before making an official approach.
The club are wary not to ignite another war of words with Atletico, which resulted in them releasing a statement denying a move for Griezmann in January.
France striker Griezmann is tipped to swap Atletico for Barcelona when the Spanish transfer window opens.
But Alba has admitted leaving a much-loved club - even for Barcelona - is not easy.
The left-back quit Valencia for Barcelona in 2012 and said of Griezmann: "It rests on the clubs to come to an agreement, and also the player.

“It was very difficult for me to leave Valencia, where I was very comfortable.
“He will have the same feelings, (but) any player wants to progress and improve.
“I think Griezmann would be very good at Barca.”

Alba could end up playing Frenchman Griezmann at the World Cup in Russia this summer after he was selected in Spain’s 23-man squad.
Pushed again on the 27-year-old striker, Alba added: "He is a player who mixed well, who has an eye for goal and can play in several attacking positions.
“It would be a good signing for Barcelona."
