Chelsea news: Real Madrid icon blasts Alvaro Morata over this transfer decision
ALVARO MORATA made a mistake joining Chelsea last summer.
Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata joined from Real Madrid last summer
That is the view of former Real Madrid midfielder Michel.
Morata cost Chelsea £60million when he arrived from Real in 2017.
The deal came just a year after he moved back to Real following two successful seasons with Juventus.
Morata, 25, was today left out of Spain’s World Cup squad.
And Michel says the forward only has himself to blame.
"I don't know why he left, if it was because he wanted to play more, if it was because he wanted a better contract and because he wanted to play in the English league," Michel said.

If you're at Real Madrid the best thing is to not leave
"At the end of the day he is in a similar situation as to when he was at Real Madrid, he will know personally why he took the decision.
"I'm one of those who think that if you're at Real Madrid the best thing is to not leave but I don't know what his thing is."
Morata scored just 11 goals in his debut Chelsea season and was overlooked for January signing Olivier Giroud for a starting role in Saturday’s FA Cup final win at Wembley.
"He's playing less at Chelsea, [Olivier] Giroud is playing more," Michel added.

”The most informed one on this is the coach and he knows exactly why he took one decision over another.
“He's a good player but many of them are too.
"It's a sensitive decision, if you made a list of 50 then number 51 and 52 would miss out too, you have to accept it, respect it and support it."
