Liverpool transfer news: Sky Sports pundit reveals what Klopp needs for title challenge
RAY PARLOUR reckons Liverpool are just a couple of signings short of mounting a Premier League title challenge next season.
Jurgen Klopp is set to strengthen in the summer
After seeing Philippe Coutinho leave for Barcelona for £142million in January, Liverpool used some of the money on Virgil van Dijk, who they brought in from Southampton.
There will still be money left over to fuel another spending spree, although it remains to be seen whether they will strengthen up top with Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane scoring 79 goals between them this season.
A goalkeeper has been identified as a priority as the Reds seek to bridge the gap next season to league champions elect Manchester City.
And Sky Sports pundit Parlour thinks there will be some activity at Anfield over the summer.
Liverpool are only two or three players away
“I think they might only be two or three players away from the title,” Parlour told The Debate.
“Lots of clubs like Manchester United and Manchester City will strengthen, as well as Spurs who are only two or three players away from making a challenge.
“I think it will be interesting next season.
“The transfer market will be unbelievable to see who goes where.
