'I hope Antonio Conte LEAVES Chelsea': Blues boss told to quit after harsh treatment
ANTONIO CONTE has been targeted by the media since the start of the season.
Antonio Conte has been targeted at Chelsea, according to Alessio Tacchinardi
That is according to former Juventus star Alessio Tacchinardi.
The Chelsea boss has undoubtedly had a tougher time of it this season after guiding his side to the Premier League in his debut year.
The Blues have struggled to emulate their success, and currently sit fifth in the league.
Conte himself has been critical of the Chelsea hierarchy for their lack of investment this term.
And Tacchinardi is adamant his former team-mate has been unfairly treated in England.
"Honestly, I hope he leaves Chelsea because this season he has been a target like a pigeon," he told Omnisport.
Antonio Conte has been vocal of his Chelsea issues this season
Right since the first game they have started a media massacre against him
"Right since the first game they have started a media massacre against him.
"Last year they let him work, but this time right from the start they put him against his own chairman for the transfers.
"They have been heavy on a manager who took a side that ranked seventh and let them win the Premier League."
Rumours are rife that Conte will leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with Luis Enrique and Carlo Ancelotti favourites to take over the hotseat.
The Italian has been heavily linked with a return to the national team.
Conte left his role as Italy manager after guiding the side to the last eight of Euro 2016.
