Liverpool news: Mohamed Salah predicted to score astonishing amount of goals this season
LIVERPOOL star Mohamed Salah will reach 50 goals in all competitions for club and country this season, reckons Sky Sports pundit Dennis Wise.
Mohamed Salah has scored 36 goals so far in his Liverpool career
Salah has had a stunning first season at Liverpool since joining from Roma last summer.
The Egyptian winger has 38 goals in total, with 36 of them coming for the Reds.
He is the leading scorer in the Premier League with 28, four clear of the injured Tottenham star Harry Kane.
Former Chelsea captain Wise is a huge fan of Salah and has continued the comparisons with Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
Maybe 50, in all competitions for club and country. You’ve only got to see his ability
When asked how many goals he thinks Salah will end up with, Wise said: “Maybe 50, in all competitions for club and country. You’ve only got to see his ability.
“You look so many times and he has three defenders around him and he manages somehow to work it on his left foot.
“It’s quite frustrating as a player when you’ve got personnel that you know wants to get it on his left foot, you try to stop him, but he still gets it on his left foot.
“It’s a bit like when Messi wants to get it on his left foot, he gets it on his left foot and scores. They’re so difficult to stop, they really are.
Liverpool's Mo Salah surprises fans at school
Wise says Mohamed Salah could end up with 50 goals for Liverpool and Egypt this season
“What he’s done this season has been phenomenal. He’s got to be up there to win a lot of trophies as an individual.
“This is the toughest league I think in the world to play in. To go and get 28 goals in the manner that he has I think is frightening.
“To be beating other Premier League teams and have more goals than them is something that you would have never have thought at the start of the season.”
