After a number of years without a Galactico signing, Real Madrid are expected to have a busy summer as they bolster their ranks.
Los Blancos are hoping to put a poor domestic season behind them and splash the cash when the transfer window reopens.
A number of targets have apparently been drawn up which include Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Neymar, of Paris Saint-Germain.
But according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Salah has come out on top in a meeting held by the Real hierarchy.
Mohamed Salah is apparently wanted by Real Madrid
But Bernabeu bosses are standing firm on how much they want to pay for the Egyptian, who has scored 36 goals this term.
Liverpool have been reported in recent days to believe they can demand a world-record fee for his signature.
That would mean Real stumping up more than the £200million which PSG paid for Neymar last year.

However, Diario Gol say Real only want to pay €190m (£165m) and will not go beyond that figure.
In fact, they apparently have a plan to try and lower the amount to €150m (£130m) by offering Lucas Vazquez in exchange.
Liverpool will be keen to keep hold of their star man but if the 25-year-old has his heart set elsewhere then they might find it difficult.
