Liverpool news: Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG plot £200m Mohamed Salah deal - claim
LIVERPOOL are reportedly facing a fierce fight to keep hold of Mohamed Salah.
Mo Salah is Premier League's Player of the Year says Burley
The Egyptian has been in fine form since moving to Anfield from Roma in the summer.
Salah has already racked up 37 goals this term - including four during Liverpool’s 5-0 thrashing of Watford on Saturday which lifted the Reds up to third in the table.
And his rich vein of form has apparently attracted the interest of European heavyweights Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the Sun, the three clubs are all prepared to break the world-record transfer fee to prise Salah away from Liverpool.
Mohamed Salah is reportedly wanted by Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG
Neymar currently holds the record as he transferred from Barcelona to PSG for £198million at the beginning of the year.
But the Sun say Liverpool will be offered £200m to depart with Salah.
The Reds were in a similar fight in January when they sold Philippe Coutinho to Barca for £142m.
The Brazilian played a huge part in pushing through the deal and it is thought Salah will have to do likewise if he wants a move.
However, manager Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to keep the 25-year-old at Anfield.
Salah scored four goals against Watford on Saturday
And after his four-goal haul at the weekend, Klopp hailed his star man.
"He played more on the wing for Roma, where he had a very dominant striker in Edin Dzeko,” he said.
"Nobody could know [that he could play as a striker]. We learned it step by step. We didn’t know exactly that he’s capable of playing in the centre.
"But we will not treat him like: ‘You don’t have to train, Mo – just come on Saturday for the game and we’ll see you there at Anfield or whatever.’
"He doesn’t want that. He’s in the moment of his career but he knows there is a lot for him to come. He wants to learn and he wants to improve."
