Boost for Chelsea? Barcelona star Andres Iniesta suffers hamstring injury
ANDRES INIESTA was forced off with a hamstring injury and is doubtful for their Champions League clash with Chelsea.
Andres Iniesta is down after sustaining an injury
Midway through Barcelona’s top-of-the-table match with Atletico Madrid, the Spanish star pulled up with a problem and received treatment on the pitch.
But after attempting to run off the knock, Iniesta eventually had to come off in the 35th minute and headed down the tunnel with Andre Gomes coming on.
And on their official Twitter account, Barcelona confirmed Iniesta would undergo tests to determine the seriousness of the injury.
They tweeted: “[INJURY NEWS] @andresiniesta8 has a hamstring injury in his right leg.

“More tests are needed to find out the extent of the problem.”
Barcelona host Chelsea in the second leg of their last-16 Champions League clash on March 14 and Iniesta will be a fitness concern.
The Spanish side, who will be without the cup-tied Philippe Coutinho, have a 1-0 lead from the first leg.
A goalless draw or a win would send Barcelona through to the quarter-finals of the competition, while victory or a score draw of 2-2 or more would ensure progress for Chelsea.
