Arsenal and Man City go head-to-head for the Carabao Cup at Wembley
The balls were due to be pulled out the hat on Twitter at 4pm back in October but the draw was ultimately broadcast, pre-recorded, almost two hours later.
It's prompted bookmakers Paddy Power to slash the odds of the Thai drinks company losing out after today’s final, from 250/1 to 10/1.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “Could it be curtains for Carabao already? I’d actually got quite into their bizarre draws and colourful logo.
“But with plenty of moaners on social media, our traders think it could be an early bath for Carabao. Just don’t bathe in it, that wouldn’t end well.”
The delayed draw angered fans while Jose Mourinho joined in the criticism for the pre-recorded manner of doing it.
"First of all because I didn't watch the draw, and what I watched was not a live draw, it was some images of a draw. But, no, I didn't like it.
"I like the draw, I like to see it, I like to feel it. I didn't like it, not at all."
