Harry Kane: Tottenham ‘turn down’ £177m Real Madrid bid
TOTTENHAM have reportedly turned down a €200million (£177m) bid for Harry Kane.
'He's a blessing' Pochettino lauds Kane after Spurs beat Arsenal
Real Madrid have put the England international at the top of their shopping list after he hit more goals than any other player in Europe in 2017.
Kane found the back of the net 56 times - twice more than Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
And the 24-year-old has continued his rich vein of form after the turn of the year which has kept him on Los Blancos’ radar.
El Chiringuito TV journalist Eduardo Inda has claimed that Real have launched their first bid for the striker.
Harry Kane is wanted by Real Madrid.
But Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has immediately turned it down and insist he wants to keep Kane.
Inda claims that Real offered €175m (£155m) up front with €25m (£22m) in added bonuses.
The deal would make the forward the second most expensive signing of all time.
But Levy is driving a hard bargain, just as he did when Gareth Bale moved to the Bernabeu for a then-world-record fee of £85m in 2013.
Shaka Hislop says Harry Kane will leave Tottenham this summer
Eduardo Inda was speaking to El Chiringuito TV.
Real’s main striker Karim Benzema has only scored three league goals all season.
The La Liga champions are expected to let the Frenchman go in the summer.
And Kane is seen as the perfect replacement, but he will be difficult to prise away from north London.
