Liverpool and Arsenal on summer transfer collision course to sign Jack Butland
LIVERPOOL and Arsenal are poised to battle it out to sign Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland in the summer, reports claim.
Jack Butland could attract serious interest in the summer
Jurgen Klopp has been let down by his goalkeepers at Liverpool this term, with Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius both failing to prove why they deserve to be the No 1 at Anfield.
The Reds could embark on a spending spree, as they still have plenty of money to put to use following the £142million sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona last month.
As far as Butler is concerned, the Stoke shot-stopper aspires to play for a bigger club.
And according to the Sun on Sunday, Klopp wants to make Butland his No 1.

As long as I’m here I’ll do everything I can to keep him
The report suggests Arsene Wenger is also keen to secure a deal for Arsenal.
The Sun on Sunday add Wenger is aware that Petr Cech can’t go on forever and he wants a steady pair of hands between the posts.
Liverpool meanwhile considered a £40million bid for Butland in the January transfer window.
However, Paul Lambert declared at the time he had no intention of letting Butland leave and he wants to keep him for as long as possible.

When asked about Liverpool’s interest, Lambert said last month: “There is absolutely no way he is going in January. Absolutely no chance.

Butland has been an ever-present feature for Stoke, missing just three Premier League games this term.
