Man Utd news: Jamie Redknapp highlights Alexis Sanchez problem for Marcus Rashford
JAMIE REDKNAPP has explained why Alexis Sanchez’s arrival at Manchester United is problematic for Marcus Rashford.
Marcus Rashford has struggled for game time this season
After bursting onto the scene two years ago under the tutelage of Louis van Gaal, Rashford has found regular game time harder to come by under Jose Mourinho this season and he has dropped down the pecking order.
Although the England international would prefer to play in a central striking berth, he has be shunted out into a wider role when he has come on as a substitute.
Manchester United brought in Sanchez from Arsenal last month in a deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan head the other way.
Sanchez will be earning around £500,000 a week and he is expected to spearhead the attack.

You feel like you are just getting to the top of the pecking order and then suddenly, bang, it's like a sledgehammer hits you
And Sky Sports pundit Redknapp fears why the Chilean could make it even harder for Rashford to break into the first team.
“Due to his reputation and the fact he has been bought by the manager, Sanchez will always go ahead of Rashford whether he is playing better or not,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
“It's the hardest thing for a young English player.
“You feel like you are just getting to the top of the pecking order and then suddenly, bang, it's like a sledgehammer hits you. Your club have signed a world star.
Alexis Sanchez's arrival could make life tougher for Marcus Rashford
“Mourinho has said Sanchez can be an inspiration to Rashford but I don't think that's what he needs right now.
“We're talking about an established England international.
“There is only one way to learn, and it's not by sitting next to someone in the dressing room, it's by playing in the team.”
United, meanwhile, travel to face Newcastle tomorrow (2:15pm).
