With the transfer window set to close on Wednesday night, a transfer merry-go-round involving Arsenal, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund could have a major impact on several deals.
Arsenal are closing on a £55million deal for Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the German side want Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi to replace him.
And the Blues have targeted Arsenal’s Giroud to fill in for Batshuayi.
Giroud has had to play deputy to Alexandre Lacazette this season and is desperate for first-team football to guarantee a place in France’s World Cup squad.

The 31-year-old is understood to favour staying in London for family reasons which would rule out a move to Dortmund.
Express Sport understands Arsenal are prepared to let Giroud join Chelsea as part of a £35m deal including David Luiz.
Talks over this proposed transfer broke down but according to French newspaper L’Equipe, discussions have since restarted.

But it is claimed Monaco and Dortmund remain interested in Giroud.
The report says Giroud is facing the “longest 48 hours of his life” as he waits for his future to be decided.
