Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal: Craig Burley reveals who new signing will replace
PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG will replace Alexandre Lacazette in the Arsenal starting XI, not start alongside him.
Arsene Wenger gives the latest on Aubameyang situation
That is the opinion of ESPN FC pundit and former Chelsea midfielder Craig Burley.
Aubameyang is closing in on a move to Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund for a club-record fee of around £60million.
Arsenal fans are excited to see the Gabon international partnered up front with Lacazette, who only joined the club from Lyon last summer.
But Burley believes it is impossible to get all of the Gunners’ attacking talent in the same team at the same time.

He would come in in the expense of Lacazette probably sitting on the bench, flanked by Ozil and Mkhitaryan
And he expects Lacazette would be the one to miss out in place of Aubameyang.
“This could turn out to be a good transfer window for Arsenal because they get the player out that they knew they were going to lose and they get potentially two players in,” Burley said.
“Somebody was asking me today ‘would he play on the right?’ because sometimes he had to play on the right at Dortmund, especially when (Robert) Lewandowski was there.
“But you’ve got to shoehorn in Aubameyang, you’ve got to shoehorn in (Henrikh) Mkhitaryan, you’ve got to shoehorn in Mesut Ozil.

Burley reckons Alexandre Lacazette will be the player to miss out when Aubameyang joins Arsenal
“So if you want to put that on top of Lacazette, you’ve got to have a bloody good midfield and back four.
“So I don’t think they’re strong enough, I don’t see the point in doing that.

“Looks like good business, if his disciplinary problems he keeps to a minimum.”
