Arsenal sent huge warning over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signing
ARSENAL will be inheriting plenty of baggage if they sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund this month.
Dortmund coach on Aubameyung's future with club
That is the opinion of ESPN FC pundit and former Major League Soccer star Alejandro Moreno.
Aubameyang is heavily linked with a move to Arsenal ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
The Gunners have had several bids turned down for the Gabon international, who is keen on leaving the Bundesliga this month.
Aubameyang played the entirety of Borussia Dortmund’s 2-2 draw with Freiburg this afternoon but the club confirmed he can still leave if Arsenal match their asking price.
Arsenal have been warned over the potential signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Aubameyang has all sorts of baggage with him and Arsenal would be inheriting that baggage
Moreno admits Arsenal need the striker after the departure of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United.
But he has warned them they will have to put up with off-the-field issues from the 28-year-old.
“Well there’s a huge hole right now at Arsenal,” Moreno told ESPN FC.
“I think it’s whether they can sort out the numbers, it comes down to that.
Aubameyang could not help Dortmund beat Freiburg at home today
“Aubameyang has all sorts of baggage with him and Arsenal would be inheriting that baggage.
“It’s about whether you’re willing to take those chances, simply because you need goals and simply because you need to make a splash given the fact that Alexis Sanchez has gone.
“There is need for Aubameyang to leave, there is need for Arsenal to get a goalscorer.
“I’ll give it a hit.”
