Hector Bellerin would be bettering his career at Juventus, claims Mariner
Barcelona wanted to re-sign Bellerin last summer after initially letting him join the Gunners in 2011, but their approach was rejected.
And now Serie A giants Juventus have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old in the last few days.
Mariner does not think Arsenal will sell Bellerin, simply because they cannot afford to lose another star player.
But the pundit reckons he would be a perfect replacement at Juve for Stephan Lichtsteiner.
It will be sad to me if he goes. For his career it would be great
“To be honest it makes sense for Juventus,” Mariner said of the deal on ESPN FC.
“Lichtsteiner, 34, coming towards the end of his career, even though he’s got incredible fitness, powers.
“Dani Alves has already gone to Paris Saint-Germain, so they do need somebody in that spot.
“He can fill that role, he’s got a great engine, he gets up and down for fun.
