The Arsenal forward is out of contract at the end of the season and he is set to leave the north London outfit on the cheap.
Manchester City were leading the race for the Chilean and looked set to land him for £20million.
However, Manchester United then stole a march and stormed into pole position with a £35m deal which is likely to include Henrikh Mkhitaryan going in the opposite direction.
Chelsea then registered an interest but manager Conte has since admitted that his side are out of the running.
Antonio Conte has responded to rumours linking Chelsea with Alexis Sanchez.
Because he’s not our good problem, so why do I have to waste words on nothing.
And when asked directly if the Blues have pulled out of a deal for Sanchez, Conte said: “Yes, yes.
“Now, this is not important to talk about Sanchez.
“Not important.
“Because he’s not our good problem, so why do I have to waste words on nothing.”
