Liverpool warned not to make same transfer mistake Man Utd did with Paul Pogba
LIVERPOOL have been warned against making a similar transfer mistake to Manchester United when they re-signed Paul Pogba.
Suso nets an impressive hat-trick for Genoa
Pogba left Manchester United to join Juventus on a free transfer in 2012.
Four years later the Red Devils bought the Frenchman back for a then world-record fee of £89million.
ESPN FC pundit Craig Burley was discussing the possibility of Liverpool completing a similar deal with AC Milan playmaker Suso.
Suso left Liverpool for free to join Serie A giants Milan in 2015 and has been linked with a return to Anfield.
Liverpool should not re-sign Suso like Man United did with Paul Pogba, claims Burley
Man United were in the business of going to buy back a player they let go for nothing in Paul Pogba. I don’t see Liverpool doing the same
Burley cannot see the deal happening and does not think it would be a good move business-wise from the Reds.
“No I don’t think this will happen,” the ex-Chelsea midfielder said.
“Man United were in the business of going to buy back a player they let go for nothing in Paul Pogba.
“I don’t see Liverpool doing the same, I think their need is in other areas.
Suso has been linked with a return to Liverpool, three years after leaving
“(Philippe) Coutinho’s gone I know but they still need full-backs, they still need a goalkeeper, still need another midfielder even though (Naby) Keita is coming in.
“So I’m going to say no at the moment.”
Suso has scored 12 Serie A goals in 58 games for Milan since arriving at the San Siro.
