Liverpool news: Pundit makes huge claim over Philippe Coutinho replacement
LIVERPOOL star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will benefit from the sale of Philippe Coutinho and can be the man to replace the playmaker.
Robson: Oxlade-Chamberlain could replace Coutinho
That is according to ESPN FC pundit and former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson.
Robson believes Oxlade-Chamberlain can fill the void left by Coutinho at Liverpool.
Coutinho joined La Liga giants Barcelona for £142million earlier in this transfer window.
Liverpool’s first Premier League game without the Brazilian was against runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City, where they ran out 4-3 winners in a dramatic game at Anfield.

The sale of Philippe Coutinho could be the making of Oxlade-Chamberlain
Oxlade-Chamberlain played a starring role for Jurgen Klopp’s side, scoring the opening goal of the game.
Robson says Klopp is starting to get the best out of Oxlade-Chamberlain, something he says Arsene Wenger could not do at Arsenal.
And he reckons the England international will flourish in the Liverpool side now Coutinho has gone.
“The thing that will please Klopp most was his discipline (against Man City),” Robson said.

Oxlade-Chamberlain impressed Robson in Liverpool's win over Man City
“His defensive understanding and his work-rate, he was absolutely outstanding.
“That’s something he didn’t learn at Arsenal, that’s where Arsene Wenger lost Oxlade-Chamberlain.
“He didn’t do enough coaching with him, Jurgen Klopp has to make him a better player.
“The sale of Philippe Coutinho could be the making of Oxlade-Chamberlain.”
