Arsenal news: Malcom agents to travel to England in next few days to close £44m deal
ARSENAL have reportedly moved a step closer to sealing a deal for Malcom after the Bordeaux winger’s agents jetted into Europe.
Arsenal want Bordeaux star Malcom to replace Manchester United transfer target Alexis Sanchez
The Brazilian has emerged as one of European football’s most promising prospects this season, turning the heads of plenty of scouts.
Manchester United have been credited with interest in him, as have Premier League rivals Tottenham as they look to bolster their squad.
Arsenal appears to be Malcom’s most likely destination though as the Gunners gear up for Alexis Sanchez’s impending departure.
And the latest reports from Brazil suggest a deal for the 20-year-old is in the offing with movement towards the transfer made over the weekend.
Globe Esporte say Malcom’s agents, Fernando Garcia, Guilherme Miranda and Leo Cornacini, were with him in France on Saturday.
And they’re apparently set to travel to England in the next few days in order to strike an agreement for the former Corinthians man.
It will apparently take a little over £44m (€50m) to prise Malcom away from Bordeaux.
Emirates ace Alexis Sanchez looks set to leave Arsenal for Manchester United in the coming days
Bordeaux’s Malcom showcases his impressive skills
And most of that figure will be covered by the £35m that Arsenal look set to receive from United for Sanchez.
Malcom is poised to sign a five-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at the Emirates beyond his 26th birthday.
Malcom could even make his Arsenal debut against Crystal Palace on Saturday if a deal is pushed through quickly enough.
