GRAEME SOUNESS has suggested there may have been element of foul play in Alexis Sanchez’s prospective transfer from Arsenal to Manchester United.

Express Sport understands Sanchez will complete a move to Manchester United within the next 48 hours.
The Chilean is expected to earn around £350,000-a-week which will make him the Premier League’s highest-paid player.
United have surged ahead of Manchester City in the race for the 29-year-old.
Although Sanchez supposedly had his heart set on reuniting with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad, a switch to Old Trafford beckons.
While Sky Sports pundit Souness is “amazed” that Sanchez would join United purely for money, he has suggested there could have been an element of “tapping”, something he thinks is not uncommon with high-profile moves.

There not a transfer that’s will take place unless there is an element of tapping involved
“I’ll be amazed if it is to do with money, because there will have been lines of communication - the agent will have spoken to people at City," Souness told Sky Sports.
“The numbers will be on the table - ‘this is what he wants’ and ‘this is what he needs for it to happen’.
“The agent will demand what he wants, so that’s there.
“I imagine everyone will be clear about what sort of deal is on the table.
Graeme Souness thinks most transfers nowadays have an element of 'tapping'
“So to get to this stage, and without getting anyone in trouble, there’s not a transfer that’s ever taken place or will take place unless there is an element of tapping involved.
“Someone meets someone when they shouldn’t do in someone’s house and a conversation takes place.
“For it to get this situation and someone can come along and hijack it, I’m mystified.”
