JOSE MOURINHO has reportedly told Justin Kluivert not to leave Ajax in January and to wait for a summer move to Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho wants Justin Kluivert at Manchester United in the summer
Justin Kluivert is one of the most highly-rated young players in Europe and looks as though he could follow in his father Patrick’s footsteps.
The 18-year-old has admitted he has ambitions of one day playing for Barcelona and has been linked with a move to the Nou Camp in January.
However, Spanish newspaper Sport claim Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has been in contact with the teenager this month.
And he has reportedly told him to shelve plans to leave Ajax in January and wait for United to come calling in the summer.
Justin Kluivert has been linked with a move to Barcelona
Mourinho is said to have been tracking Kluivert for some time and has been impressed by the winger since his step up to the Ajax first team.
The Portuguese joked with him at the Europa League final that he wanted to bring him to Old Trafford.
"I love you, I've heard you're special, so let's make a special transfer,” he told Kluivert.
“One more season, then you'll come to Manchester United and you'll be my striker.”
However, Sport claim the Red Devils could struggle to sign the teenager as his father wants him to develop at Ajax for longer.
And the youngster told website Goal last year he also has eyes for Barcelona as well as a potential move to the Premier League.
“Barcelona is my dream club. Within seven years, I would like to be at Barcelona,” he said.
"But before that I would like to play in England as well. I really like that competition [the Premier League] and I would like to play there."
