REAL MADRID superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is currently the worst striker in Europe.
Cristiano Ronaldo: The Real Madrid star is the worst striker in Europe, joked Balague
That is the view of Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
Ronaldo has had a below-par season by his standards, scoring just four times in La Liga.
He has scored just five per cent of his chances in the league, some way off his rivals’ conversion rate.
So Balague claimed he is, statistically, the worst frontman in the continent.
“You can say that he’s the worst striker in Europe,” Balague said.

“But he’s scored five goals in his last four games, so he is coming back.”
Ronaldo has performed in other competitions for Real Madrid this season and helped them win the Club World Cup last week.
Former Barcelona striker Thierry Henry says Cristiano Ronaldo’s extremely high standards are why people have started to question his form this season.
“I think all I can say about this guy is massive respect,” Henry said.
“But the problem is what those guys give us for a very long time that when they are well below-par, it’s still amazing.

“I think he’s showing us he’s a bit human. I think that at times because of the not-scoring situation, although he’s been scoring of late, he’s forcing it a bit.
“But I mean, what can we say about a guy like that? He’s a machine, so when a machine is a bit broken, people question it.
“But I’m like ‘for more than 15-odd years he’s been scoring goals for fun and torturing defences.
“But when they needed him, he scored the winning goal in the World Championship the other day.”
Ronaldo was on the losing side in today's El Clasico, as Barcelona won 3-0 at the Bernabeu.
