The match kicks off at 7.45pm this evening (Friday December 22).

The Gunners will be without striker Olivier Giroud after the Frenchman had a hamstring injury during their 1-0 League Cup victory over West Ham on Tuesday.

With Aaron Ramsey sidelined, Jack Wilshere is likely to start at the centre of Arsenal’s midfield alongside Granit Xhaka after impressing in recent weeks.
Liverpool’s blistering pace and attacking prowess will no doubt give Wenger a headache when deciding whether to play two or three central defenders.
Speaking to the London Evening Standard, Wenger said: “They have plenty of offensive players and looking at them recently, they have changed a lot their teams so it is difficult to guess.
“The fact we are adaptable to both systems means it will be down to me to make the decision.
“Do we play in a four or a three or a five? I have some more time to think about that.”

The English midfielder made the move days after the Gunners were thrashed 4-0 at Anfield on the opening day of the season.

But Liverpool will be without Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno who are recovering from hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has said he would “buy a ticket to this game” if he were a fan. Ahead of the clash, he slammed the media as a whole for its criticism of Wenger.
"I think Arsene gets a lot of criticism,” he said. “I’ve seen it since I've been in England, I'm aware of it and for sure it's not right.
"But he's still there and he's doing a brilliant job again. He's still top five, six, fighting for fourth and being involved in different cup competitions.
"He's obviously still very ambitious and as long as you feel that, and you feel the club gets the benefit of this, you can stay.”
