Arsenal news: Arsene Wenger confirms Olivier Giroud worry ahead of Liverpool clash
ARSENE WENGER fears Olivier Giroud will not be available for Arsenal against Liverpool.
Olivier Giroud is a big doubt for Arsenal to face Liverpool on Friday
Arsenal eked out a 1-0 victory over West Ham this evening at the Emirates to book their place in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.
Giroud started the match, but he was replaced 12 minutes from the end with a suspected hamstring injury.
The Frenchman has been scarcely used by Wenger this term, prompting speculation he could leave the Gunners in January to boost his chances of earning a call-up to the national squad for next summer’s World Cup.
And Wenger thinks it is unlikely Giroud will be able to start, let alone play any part when Liverpool roll into town on Friday (7.45pm).

When asked about the nature of Giroud’s injury, he said: “It doesn’t look very good for him.
“I think he’s out of Friday night.”
However, Wenger was more confident that Francis Coquelin will be able to play.
