Mohamed Salah: Jamie Redknapp reveals how teams can stop 'amazing' Liverpool star
LIVERPOOL star Mohamed Salah can be stopped if full-backs prevent him playing to his strengths.
Liverpool news: Redknapp has revealed how to stop Mohamed Salah
That is the view of Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp.
Salah has started his Reds career in fine form after joining from Serie A side Roma in the summer.
The Egyptian is the leading goalscorer in the Premier League with 14 goals after netting against Bournemouth this afternoon.
Ahead of today’s clash with Bournemouth, Redknapp advised the Cherries defenders on how they can neutralise the affect he has on the game.
One thing you can’t do today is let him come inside on his left foot
He says full-backs must show the Liverpool man down the line rather let him cut inside onto his favoured left foot.
“One thing you can’t do today is let him come inside on his left foot,” Redknapp said.
“You see it so often, week in, week out. Defenders show him inside and he says ‘okay, I’ll bend one in the top corner for you’.
“You’ve got to show him down the line, but he scores all types of goals.
Liverpool fans invent BRILLIANT chant for Mo Salah
Liverpool news: Redknapp has been amazed by Mohamed Salah's start at Anfield
“He’s been phenomenal, he really has and he’s got that electric pace.
“He makes such great runs from out to in which is unusual, normally wingers want to run into the wide areas. He wants to run into the danger areas.
“He’s surprised me, the fact that he’s the top scorer in the Premier League is amazing.”
