Man Utd news: Sky Sports' Phil Neville makes shock Man City claim, backs Arsene Wenger too
PHIL NEVILLE has surprisingly claimed he didn’t mind Manchester City’s celebrations after they beat Manchester United.
City claimed a 2-1 win against United at Old Trafford last Sunday, which prompted scenes of jubilation from Pep Guardiola’s men.
Reports emerged afterwards that Jose Mourinho had an angry exchange with some of the City players in the tunnel.
It was also suggested in the aftermath that Mourinho had milk and water launched at him, while City assistant coach Mikel Arteta cut his head.
But former United star-turned-pundit Neville didn’t think there was anything wrong with the celebrations.
He told Sky Sports’ The Debate: “We don’t know what happened, there has been a lot of speculation but I actually thought it was good.”

Neville also addressed Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger’s claim that football could learn a thing or two from sumo-wrestling about respecting opponents.
He added: “You’ve got to win games in certain way.
“I don’t like with managers going on the pitch.
“It seems to be obsession at end of game.

“It’s not their domain on the pitch - shaking hands with the players and refs.
“It’s not for me, I’m more old skool.
“It’s a massive change in the way managers act.
“At the end of game, is there any need to go onto the pitch?”
