Leeds news: Whites confirm striker back in training
LEEDS UNITED forward Pierre-Michel Lasogga is closing in on a return to fitness.
Leeds United striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga is back in training
Lasogga, on a season-long loan from Hamburg, has missed the last five games since the international break due to illness and a leg injury.
But he returned to training yesterday and could make Thomas Christiansen’s squad for Saturday’s game against Norwich City (3pm).
Leeds posted a snap on Twitter of Lasogga being put through his paces at the club’s Thorp Arch complex.
Kemar Roofe is expected to lead the line for the Canaries’ visit to Elland Road.
Roofe bagged a hat-trick in the 3-1 win at QPR last weekend.
He was given a chance in attack when Caleb Ekuban limped off with a foot injury in the first half at Loftus Road.
Ekuban was sent for a scan on Monday and Christiansen is waiting for results.
The 23-year-old, who missed three months of the season with a broken bone in his foot, left Loftus Road on crutches and is wearing a protective boot.

Leeds initially feared the worst that Ekuban had suffered a similar injury.
Christiansen said: “I’m not a doctor, I cannot say for sure, but it looks like it could be the same.”
Ekuban joined Leeds from Italian club Chievo Verona in the summer transfer window.
