PAUL POGBA has come on leaps and bounds at Manchester United and his leadership skills on the pitch have been impressive, according to George Boateng.

Pogba, who cost Manchester United a then world-record fee of £89million when he rejoined from Juventus in 2016, has settled in well at Old Trafford.
However, the Frenchman will serve a three-match ban after his reckless lunge on Hector Bellerin during United’s 3-1 win away to Arsenal on Saturday earned him a red card.
Although he will miss the crunch Manchester derby clash against City on Sunday (4.30pm), Boateng has singled out the biggest improvement in Pogba’s game.
“Any time I’ve watched him, he’s getting better and better,” Boateng told Sky Sports’ The Debate Show.

“He’s getting more and more confident on the ball.
“He’s growing as a player and he’s matured more.
“I like the fact he’s shown leadership.

“When he plays, everyone seems to follow.
“Especially with Zlatan not being there, Pogba is really important to United’s midfield.”
United trail City by eight points in the table going into Sunday’s clash.
