MANCHESTER UNITED star Jesse Lingard has hailed David De Gea after the Red Devils' 3-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates.
Jesse Lingard scored twice for Man Utd at Arsenal
Manchester United moved a step closer to Manchester City at the top of the table with a 3-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates.
Lingard was the star of the show, following up his heroics against Watford in midweek with a brilliant brace.
Yet the England international chose to laud De Gea following the win, with the Spain international producing one of the individual displays of the season.
“It was a great win. I thought the lads dug deep, especially in the first half when we were under pressure," Lingard said after the game.
"In the second half we had to regroup and reorganise.
"David De Gea kept us in it and he’s one of the best keepers in world.
"It’s great to have stable person behind us to keep that play up."
Lingard did, however, lament the red card of Pogba.
The France international was sent off for a stamp on Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin.

And Lingard admitted it was a blow.
“It’s a blow but the team have the players to adapt to that," he added.
"Everyone’s got to work hard to get in the starting XI.”
