Cardiff City news: Rolf Feltscher signing explained by Neil Warnock
CARDIFF CITY have completed the free signing of Venezuela international defender Rolf Feltscher.
Cardiff City have completed the signing of Rolf Feltscher
Feltscher, who left Spanish club Getafe at the end of last season, has put pen to paper on a short-term deal that expires on January 13, 2018.
“I’m pleased to get Rolf on board,” said Cardiff manager Neil Warnock.
“He’s been training with us for a few weeks and we wanted to see him in a couple of games but he’s done well and offers us some good cover and competition at the back.”
The move for Feltscher, who has been handed the No.29 shirt, is subject to international clearance.
He had been on trial with Championship rivals Birmingham City before Harry Redknapp was sacked.
Speaking at Cardiff’s training ground, Feltscher said: “I’m really happy to be here.
“It’s important that I work with the manager to understand what he wants but I’m ready.”
Feltscher could make his debut for Cardiff against Brentford on Saturday.
The 16-cap Venezuela international came through the ranks at Grasshoppers before spells at Parma, Lausanne-Sport, Duisburg and Zaragoza.
