After failing to win favour under Jose Mourinho, the left-back looks set to leave.
Recent reports have suggested Mourinho will loan out Shaw when the transfer window reopens in an effort to trim his squad.
And now according to The Times, United are ready to sever all ties with Shaw.
The report indicates that United hope to find someone to pay £20million for the former England international.
Luke Shaw's days at Manchester United appear to be numbered
It is claimed that United activated the clause to extend Shaw’s stay by a year until 2019 so they could get a fee for him.
Turkish outfit Fenerbahce are monitoring his situation.
Tottenham are also keeping an eye on his situation, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to reunite with the player whom he previously worked with at Southampton, while United are eager to take Danny Rose in a potential swap deal.

United meanwhile, are still yet to agree a contract extension for Marouane Fellaini.
The Belgian’s current deal expires at the end of the season.
Mourinho's men are back in Premier League action on Saturday at home to Newcastle (5.30pm).
