Barcelona want Messi to sign a new contract but the Argentine is yet to pen the fresh terms.
Barca announced in the summer that an agreement was in place but the club are yet to confirm his commitment.
Messi’s current deal ends next summer, meaning he could discuss a free transfer to another club as early as January.
Manchester City are said to be interested in the 30-year-old.
But Suarez is adamant Messi will remain at the Nou Camp and continue his career-long affiliation with Barca.

Asked if he sees Messi remaining at Barca until he retires, Suarez told Mundo Deportivo: “I would love to.
“For what Leo is, for what he has meant for the club and for the admiration I have for him.
“Hopefully soon there will be good news.”
Messi has scored 523 goals in 600 matches for Barcelona, helping the club win eight La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.
Discussing his stats, Suarez told Mundo Deportivo: “The numbers, the moments… everything speaks for itself of what he is and what he means (to the club).

“He is the best player in history for both the club and the world.
“For me, it is a privilege to have it as a teammate.
“Today we have a very good relationship both on and off the field.
