Celtic Transfer News: Kieran Tierney explains decision to sign new contract
CELTIC defender Kieran Tierney has put to bed speculation over his future by signing a new contract.

Tierney has been one of Celtic’s top performers since manager Brendan Rodgers took over at Parkhead.
The left-back is one of the first names of the team sheet and his displays saw him linked with a move to the Premier League last month.
But the Scotland international has signed a SIX-YEAR contract to ensure he will remain in Glasgow for some time yet.
“I give a lot of thanks to the manager for believing in me,” he said.
“I’ve also got the right people around me to keep me grounded and it’s a big credit to them.
“My family will be delighted and it’s a big reward for them for believing in me and putting the work in all these years.”
Antonio Conte told to sign Celtic's Kieran Tierney
A club statement read: “Celtic are delighted to announce that Kieran Tierney has signed a new six-year deal which will see him remain at the club until at least the summer of 2023."
Manchester United were said to have scouted Tierney during a routine 4-0 win over Dundee earlier in the season.
The 20-year-old was also watched when PSG arrived at Celtic Park and stuck five past the Hoops in the Champions League.
United were supposedly looking for a replacement for Luke Shaw but a move for Tierney now seems unlikely.
Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with the player in the past.
