Ipswich Town news: Arsenal plotting January signing of Tristan Nydam
ARSENAL are plotting a move for Ipswich Town wonderkid Tristan Nydam.
Ipswich Town midfielder Tristan Nydam
Midfielder Nydam, 17, is a long-term target for the Gunners, according to The Sun, and it’s claimed they are planning to launch a move when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Tractor Boys academy graduate has started eight games in all competitions this term, and featured four appearances as a substitute.
He has less than two years left on his current contract at Portman Road.
Nydam, who was born in Zimbabwe, has featured at Under-19 level for England.
Ipswich have a fine history of fast-tracking young players, and manager Mick McCarthy has tipped Nydam and team-mate Flynn Downes, 18, to reach the top of the game.

Speaking in August, McCarthy said: “They are as good as any young players that I have worked with.
“I worked with Mark Kennedy and Ben Thatcher at Millwall and those two went on to be top players at top clubs.
“Flynn and Tristan are as good as they were and that’s praise indeed because they were both really good players.”
According to The Sun, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is willing to pay £2million for Nydam.
The Gunners could immediately loan him out to get more experience if they sign him in January.
Nydam played 59 minutes in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Burton Albion as Ipswich arrested their losing streak.
The Tractor Boys travel to Wales to play Cardiff City tomorrow (7.45pm).
