LEEDS UNITED are pondering a move for Sturm Graz midfielder James Jeggo.
Leeds United: James Jeggo is being monitored by the Whites
Jeggo, 25, will be a free agent at the end of the season when his contract expires.
He has rejected an extension, and Leeds scouts are following his progress in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Jeggo can enter into transfer talks in January about a pre-contract agreement ahead of a summer move.
According to the Daily Mail, Leeds’ Championship rivals Hull City and Middlesbrough are also monitoring his availability.
Vienna-born Jeggo grew up in Australia but has never made an appearance for the country at international level.
He played in the A-League for Melbourne Victory and Adelaide United before joining Sturm Graz in 2016.
Jeggo has made 51 appearances for the Austrian outfit, who top the Bundesliga table.
Despite signing 16 players in the summer transfer window, Leeds are ready to back head coach Thomas Christiansen in January.
A new forward is high on the list for Whites chiefs.
