Leeds United news: Whites favourites to sign Danny Ings, Wolves and Derby odds
LEEDS UNITED are the favourites to sign Liverpool striker Danny Ings.
Leeds United: Danny Ings could move to Elland Road in January
The 25-year-old has suffered two serious knee injuries since joining the Reds from Burnley in 2015.
He has made just one appearance for Liverpool this term in the Carabao Cup and is being linked with a January loan move.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly ready to green light a temporary switch for Ings, who hopes a run of games can help him into England’s World Cup squad.
According to bookmakers BetVictor, a switch to Leeds is most likely on the cards for Ings.
The Whites are priced at 4/1 to sign the one-cap England international before the January transfer window closes.
Danny Ings has featured just once for Liverpool this season
Premier League sides Newcastle and Southampton are 6/1.
Leeds’ Championship rivals Wolves and Derby County follow at 8/1.
A move to Brighton, Burnley and Bournemouth can also be backed at 8/1.
According to the Mirror, Ings wants to stay in the Premier League so a move to Leeds appears unlikely.
Despite his injury setbacks, Ings still thinks he can make the grade at Liverpool.
He said: “Everywhere I have been, I have always found a way to make it happen.
“I have been in a lot of tough situations at previous clubs where it has been hard to break in.
“People from the outside looking in will probably have the assumption, ‘Oh, he’s the forgotten man’ but it has not crossed my mind at all. I still believe in myself.
“I still believe I can play in this team."
Ings hit 21 goals to help Burnley to promotion when he last played in the Championship.
