JOSE MOURINHO has told Manchester United officials he has no problem with Ed Woodward.
Jose Mourinho has said he doesn't want to leave Manchester United
Mourinho stoked the talk he might leave the club himself last night by refusing to talk about his long-term future.
The United boss said he didn't expect to end his career at Old Trafford - just days after speaking openly about the lure of PSG.
Although there appears to be little thought that the Special One is off. According to the Manchester Evening News, Mourinho has privately dismissed suggestions he is growing frustrated with Woodward while talking to club chiefs.
Mourinho is out of contract in 2019 and he's yet to open talks over a new deal with the club.
Jose Mourinho has insisted he's not fallen out with Ed Woodward
There is a theory that Mourinho's willingness to talk about PSG this week was a ploy to get Woodward to begin talks over a new deal.
That comes amid claims Mourinho is unhappy with Manchester United’s recruitment process since succeeding Louis van Gaal.
Although it appears that isn't the case - despite the timing of the United boss' remarks.
He said yesterday: “Nothing is happening, I’m not signing a new five-year contract. I’m at Manchester United, I have a contract and that’s it.
“I don’t think there is an answer for that, I’m not in conditions to answer to that because there is nothing to answer, I have a contract and that’s it.
“I have my contract that ends in May/June 2019, we are in October 2017, so I don’t know what to say.
“The only thing that I told and is true and there was not misinterpretation of my words is I am not going to end my career at Manchester United and I ask how is it possible in modern football that a manager is going to last 15 or 20 years, I think (Arsene) Wenger is the last one.”
