Arsenal news: Besiktas ‘promised’ Mesut Ozil talks in January - Man Utd could swoop
MESUT OZIL could reportedly be on his way to Besiktas.
Ozil, 28, has less than 10 months remaining on his current contract at Arsenal and looks destined to leave by the end of the season.
The Germany international will be allowed to hold talks with other clubs in January and could even strike a pre-contract agreement.
Manchester United and Fenerbahce have both been linked with moves for Mesut Ozil as they both look to bolster their ranks.
But Turkish outlet Fanatik claim Besiktas have now entered the race.
It it said the Super Lig champions have been ‘promised’ by Ozil’s representatives that talks will he held in January over a possible move.

Ozil is apparently open to the idea of joining Besiktas, with his entourage impressed by the club.
The former Real Madrid man could even put pen to paper on a pre-contract agreement as he will be a free agent in the summer.
Fanatik add Ozil’s partner Amine Gulse is keen on him moving to Turkey as she would like to get married there.
But any chance of signing the playmaker could be scuppered by Manchester United if they were to swoop.

However, Jose Mourinho supposedly has not earmarked Ozil in his future plans.
Ozil has made five Premier League appearances so far this season.
