In three games for Manchester City in September, Aguero scored five times and provided three assists for Pep Guardiola’s men.
De Bruyne capped a fine individual month with an excellent strike against Chelsea to add to his three assists.
Romelu Lukaku scored four goals in September
Harry Kane scored six goals in September
Gross played a role in Brighton’s first four league goals of the season, with two goals and two assists.
Tottenham’s Kane is the favourite to win the award after an outstanding month which saw him bounce back from a goalless August to scoring six in September.
Lascelles showed his leadership qualities for Newcastle with winning goals in successive matches against Swansea City and Stoke City.
And a hat-trick against Stoke and another against Leicester was enough for Chelsea’s Morata to earn a nomination.
