Carlos Tevez has been told he is overweight and won't play
Wu replaced Guus Poyet, who quit on Monday, and spoke out about Tevez’s condition.
Tevez became one of the highest paid players in the world when he moved to Shenhua.
But he has struggled in China and only scored twice in 12 games.
And now he’s been told to sort himself out or face the prospect of sitting on the sidelines.
“I will not pick him right now. He’s not ready physically. He’s not fit to play,” Wu said of Tevez.
“He is overweight, along with [Fredy] Guarin. I have to take responsibility for the team and the players as well.
“If you are unable do your utmost to play, there’s no point in picking you.
I have coached lots of big stars, and my players are never picked on reputation.”
