LIVERPOOL midfielder Emre Can is expecting an open encounter against Manchester City this afternoon (12.30pm).
Both Liverpool and Manchester City go into the game unbeaten after their opening three games of the season.
Can has been named in the starting XI by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool have had a good record against fellow top six sides of late, including a 4-1 win in this fixture last season.

“I think we have done well in the past against top teams but today is a new start," the Liverpool man said on Sky Sports.
