Although the transfer window has closed, Spurs announced the deal in an intriguing fashion.
A fee remains undisclosed, although previous reports suggested Spurs paid £15million to bring Llorente to the club from Swansea.
Spurs confirmed the deal with a short promo video of Llorente sitting in a studio, wearing the club’s training kit.
In it, he sits down ready to have an interview and says: “It's done!”
Chelsea were also in the running for the 32-year-old, but Spurs managed to capture his signature.

But after having a medical, a deal was confirmed.
There was no repeat of the Willian saga in 2013 when Spurs thought they had their man before the Blues hijacked a deal in the 11th hour.
After a sluggish start to the window, they brought in four new players in the final week - Serge Aurier, Juan Foyth, Paulo Gazzaniga and now Llorente.
Speaking about his move, Llorente said: “I’m very, very happy to join Tottenham an amazing club.
“I can only say that I come here to help Tottenham to win titles.
Mauricio Pochettino had an excellent window as Tottenham boss
“I am 32 years old but I want to learn every day.
“I think I can learn a lot of things off Harry Kane and all the players.
“I can learn with Pochettino a lot and I am going to do my best here.
“I think I can do more things in my career and my dream is to do that here in Tottenham.”
