The Costa Rica forward previously spent a period on loan with the La Liga outfit in the 2012/13 campaign.
Campbell has yet to make an appearance for Arsenal this term after suffering an injury while on international duty.
And now he will spend this campaign back at Betis.
However, there are reports that suggest there is no option to buy the 25-year-old.
This will be Campbell’s sixth loan deal, having previously spent spells at the likes of Lorient, Olympiacos, Villarreal and Sporting Lisbon.

We would like to wish Joel well for his time in Spain
Arsenal confirmed news of Campbell’s move via Twitter.
A short statement on the club’s website read: “We would like to wish Joel well for his time in Spain.
“The loan is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.”
Arsene Wenger has managed to keep hold of Joel Campbell
Meanwhile, the Gunners looked to have kept hold of Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean was the subject of strong interest from Manchester City, who made a £55million bid plus £5m add-ons.
Arsene Wenger wouldn’t have let Sanchez leave without finding his replacement, and despite putting in a £92m bid for Thomas Lemar, a move collapsed with the player preferring to play Champions League football.
