Liverpool to win Premier League: Bookies slash odds after 4-0 Arsenal rout
LIVERPOOL have seen their odds on winning the Premier League title shorten after thrashing Arsenal 4-0 at Anfield.
Liverpool dismantled Arsenal 4-0 at Anfield
Liverpool breezed past Arsenal at home with a comfortable 4-0 victory, with all of their attacking players getting in on the act.
Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane made it 2-0 to the home side before half-time, while Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge added two more after the restart.
The emphatic victory has seen bookmakers slash odds on Jurgen Klopp’s side winning the title, with the Reds currently sitting in second place.
BoyleSports have shortened the Anfield club from 16/1 to 11/1, fearing they could have enough to go all the way this term.
“Liverpool are now 2 points behind league leaders Man United,” BoyleSports spokeswoman Aoife Heffron said.
“They have been cut to 11/1 from 16/1 to take the Premier League title after an impressive 4-0 win over Arsenal.
“They have been pushed right out to 25/1 as a result of the defeat.”
Manchester City are currently the bookmaker’s favourites for the title at 11/8, closely followed by their rivals United at 9/4.

Last season’s winners Chelsea are at 5/1, while runners-up Tottenham currently sit at 14/1.
At the other end of the table newly-promoted Brighton are favourites to go straight back down at 4/5.
And there are some doubt about Crystal Palace who have started the campaign poorly and are without a single point.
“It may be early days but Crystal Palace relegation fears continue to grow as they have yet to record any points and lie second from bottom following their 2-0 defeat to Swansea,” Heffron added.
